Since 2004, the game has been played on the first Sunday of February. It’s the pinnacle of the regular football season and is a huge event for American’s even if you’re not a huge fan of the game.

Which team won the 2022 Super Bowl?

Who Has Won the Most NFL Super Bowls?

The Pittsburgh Steelers and the New England Patriots are tied for the most Super Bowls won by a single team since the NFL began. Both these dominant teams have managed to capture six titles.

In recent years the New England Patriots have dominated with the amazing Tom Brady and Bill Belichick combo. Winning back-to-back titles in 2004 and 2005.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What is the Moneyline in NFL Betting?

The MoneyLine is probably the most simple wager you make whilst betting on an NFL game. It’s a straightforward bet on who you think will be the victor of the single game.

The favorites to win the game will be the team with the lowest number shown, this will typically be a minus number unless the two teams playing are very closely matched.

You won’t get great odds for betting the favorites on the Moneyline, in fact even betting on the underdogs doesn't give you huge returns with this kind of bet. If a team is +150, which is a fairly large underdog, you’ll need to wager $100 to get a return of $150 if they win.

If a team is a favorite, let’s say they are -250, you’ll need to wager $250 to make a $100 profit on your bet. So you would get back a total of $350 including your stake. Our advice is to look to place big bets when you are sure of a result when it comes to the money line, as this is where the bookies have a large edge on punters.

  • What is the point spread in NFL Betting?

This is by far the most popular market when it comes to bets made on the NFL. The point spread gives you the chance to bet on your team with handicapping in place evening the odds out and making both teams a more desirable bet. You’ll get better odds on the favourites and more chance of winning when betting on the underdog.

Let’s say the point spread on a game you plan to bet on is +5.5, this means that the team would have to win the game with no more than a 5 point margin. When it comes to minus figures, let’s say the same margin is in play. The favourites are starting with a point deficit, so they would need to win by 6 points, say 39 - 33, for your bet to be placed with a -5.5 point spread to win.

  • How do you bet on totals or over/under in NFL games?

You can also place bets on how many points will be scored in total during a game. It doesn’t matter who wins the game in question, just that you bet on the correct over/under scoreline that both teams can contribute to.

You might see a line of over/under 51.5 points in a game where you’re sure it’s going to be a landslide win for your team and plenty more points than usual will be scored. This is a perfect time to place some money on the over. • What are Parlay Bets in NFL betting?

Parlay bets are a cumulative series of bets, where each bet accrues you funds which can stake your next bet at a larger amount. Essentially they are accumulator bets, where all the events that you bet come true for you to win the bet.

These are really popular bets and give you a chance to spin up a small wager into a large win if everything goes your way. For instance, you might bet that your favorite four teams will all win on the point spread and that the Steelers game will have more than 51.5 points scored. If all your teams win, but the Steelers game is a low-scoring one, you will lose the bet on just one wrong outcome.

Our advice for these kinds of bets is to bet on what you consider to be dead certainties in order to increase your odds whilst betting on relatively safe outcomes, and make use of a sportsbook that offers you a pay out option whilst the bet is active, that way you can cash out early if you get nervous about the whole parlay.

  • What are teaser bets in the NFL?

These are still a combination bet, a little like a parlay, but this bet is placed upon the result of just two different NFL games.

Another major difference is that you can adjust the point spreads to your liking, so if you think the point spread is a little off with the regular odds, look to change the odds to your liking with a teaser.

These bets offer lower returns due to the line being able to be changed, however you have a higher chance of winning these bets due to that too.

  • What are prop bets in the NFL?

Always popular during the super bowl, prop bets, or proposition bets are novelty bets where you can bet on almost everything that happens in a game.

What will the longest quarterback throw of the game be? Choose a player to pass over a certain range during the whole season. Matt Ryan to score under 28.5 touchdowns in the coming season.
